Check this out! I do sell them these canoes and work with them on other stuff but sharing this because I think they are doing something really cool that Northstar fans might like seeing.
In my travels and deliveries out West, I have been able to work with Catch-a-Canoe on the Mendocino Coast. They have been at this forever and have the coolest Redwood Tri-Canoes (see https://catchacanoe.com/mendocino-big-river-boat-kayak…/) The Redwood Canoe builder retired and they sought out other ways to put folks who have never paddled and /or have young kids/infants and dogs safely into nice canoes.
This system using Northstars is their invention and they also can add a spring loaded pop-up downwind sail. They’ve eliminated potential capsizes in cold water and the added rudder allows for assisted tracking and turning for folks that might not have the teamwork down.
No compensation here but if you are ever traveling the California coast near Mendocino and want to talk to the rare CA Canoe Nuts then this is a must see/paddle! The Staford Inn is 5 star so if you are trying to do something special for an occassion then consider checking their affiliated Inn out too. You’ll dine on their own on site farm organic produce and the in-room fireplaces and greenhouse spa/pool will make for a unique paddle and then luxurious experience.
