It is fun to hear stories about Mocean’s in the wild now that we have almost a season under our belts with our entry to the market. I have been just having a blast this season introducing the Scout and Scout XC to paddlers!

The messaging I’m hearing from the shops in the West that have been showing the Scout and Scout XC is that these models have filled a needed space. Larger volume than other 12′ models is being received well for storage space, stability and the option for larger paddlers. Smaller paddlers are also finding the Scout still offers plenty of performance and Mocean has been listening to feedback for a lower volume 12′ that might also give more fit options for smaller paddlers. The seat bottom comfort in the Moceans has been very well received and the adjustable backrest is comfortable with a lot of height and lean options.

Attention to detail, quality, personable business are some of the highlights we are hearing from our dealer network but what about from paddlers?

“I purchased the white Mocean Scout 12 from you a couple weeks back.
I want to thank you for selling high quality products like this kayak.
I was able to get it into the water!I would like to say that as a fifty one year old kayak fisherman who previously used an Ocean Kayak Prowler 13 sit on top for many (over 15) years that I have always been apprehensive about sit inside kayaks.
The Mocean Scout was not something I would have purchased had I not come to your brick and mortar store in person and spoke with you.
I was apprehensive about taking it out and a bit nervous about ingress egress.
After 3 quick paddles and quickly returning to shore to adjust the seat I found the seat adjustment I liked🇺🇸.
WOW!
This boat is so much more stable than I ever dreamed a kayak could be!  More lean is met by more resistance.  The fact that the hips and legs are locked in gives such a great feeling compared to sitting in my old Prowler!

The Mocean easily accepted a small fish finder in the t slot rail and I have a prototype transducer mount in the front of the kayak which is held by just the deck line bungees.
I feel I would like to help the Mocean company with a good review since I strongly support quality products made in USA.
I am not an expert paddler.
I have paddled open ocean to fish but I do not go long distances.  I have not taken classes.  I am not an expert,  but what I can say is that the experience of paddling this boat and fishing from it far surpasses the sit on top.  I feel I had a very nice SOT with the prowler 13,  but the Mocean is next level!
I actually launched and paddled it just for fun and a few times I did lock in to a nice low body driven stroke and pace that felt really really nice.
I like how much more involved the lower body can be with sit in vs SOT.
In closing,  I just wanted to let you know I’m stoked on the Mocean Scout and the Tango and feel free to copy paste anything here wherever if it might be good for Clavey or Mocean.
